The problem

Choosing for someone else is hard. The usual tools don’t help.

  1. Food apps rank by popularity, not by the person you’re feeding.
  2. Ingredient and allergen details are rarely online.
  3. Tastes get assumed from age instead of asked about.
  4. So caregivers phone around and guess.
Three generations around a candlelit dinner table at home: two older women and a young girl smile and talk over plates, glasses and a sweet pie.

See it work

Their tastes in. Questions to ask out.

An AI agent plans the search. Qloo ranks restaurants near them by taste. Tested code checks every need: we set dishes aside, and we never call one safe. Three steps, on real Qloo data:

Tell Tastora what they love. Here: a favourite singer.

Their tastes

  • Italian
  • New York City

Frank Sinatra

Qloo turns this into a taste signal for its restaurant ranking.

Real Qloo results from test searches, October 2026. Same request each time; only the taste signal changes.

Why Qloo

Taste signals change the answer. We measured it.

Every search runs twice, with and without the person’s taste signals. Three real examples:

  • 6 of 10

of the top 10 were new places

A Frank Sinatra fan who loves Italian-American food, Queens

  • 0 of 10

places in common with a plain search

A Bob Marley fan who loves Caribbean food, the Bronx

  • 7 of 10

places moved to a new position

A Fela Kuti fan who loves Nigerian food, Brooklyn

Our rules

Rules Tastora keeps, enforced in code.

  1. Allergies and texture needs are never marked safe. They always say “Needs confirmation”.
  2. Missing information means “Needs confirmation”, not a match.
  3. Dishes that commonly contain an allergen are set aside, not suggested.
  4. Every reason shows where it came from.
  5. The AI plans the search. Tested code makes every safety decision.
  6. Allergies and diet rules are never sent to the AI model.
  7. Links go to the restaurant’s own website, phone and map. Tastora takes no payments.

Each rule has an automated test in the public repository.
